Reverend Lafete Tucker, Sr. has served as the esteemed lead pastor of Mount Calvary Free Will Baptist Church since 2007, bringing unwavering commitment, spiritual guidance, and dynamic leadership to the congregation. Under his stewardship, the church has experienced significant growth and has been a beacon of hope and inspiration for its members. Reverend Tucker's compassionate pastoral care and dedication to fostering a strong sense of community within the church have played a pivotal role in nurturing the spiritual well-being of its members. His dynamic sermons and innovative initiatives have not only enriched the spiritual lives of the congregation but have also contributed to the church's positive impact on the broader community. Reverend Tucker's tenure as lead pastor reflects his deep-rooted commitment to the spiritual development and overall flourishing of Mount Calvary Freewill Baptist Church.
Rev. Lafete Tucker, Sr.
Reverend Lafete Tucker, Sr., a native of Amite, Louisiana, and a seasoned entrepreneur, currently holds the position of Pastor at both Mount Calvary Freewill Baptist Church and Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church. Additionally, he assumes the role of President at the Louisiana Religious Conference.

As the founder of Tucker’s Career Services Center, Reverend Tucker has made significant contributions to the community by establishing Magnified Ministries Youth Excell and Citizens for a Better Amite, Inc. Furthermore, he co-founded the Amite Area Bitty Basketball Association in 1994. In his capacity as the administrator for Cutting the Pattern, LLC, a youth and multipurpose center, Reverend Tucker continues to play a pivotal role in community development.

His commitment to public service is evident through his involvement as a member of the Tangipahoa Parish Drainage Board for District 4. Additionally, Reverend Tucker has previously served as a board member for both the Amite Planning and Zoning Committee and Tangipahoa Parish Fire District Board #1.

A distinguished veteran of the United States Army, Reverend Tucker is an alumnus of Southern University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. His multifaceted contributions to both the community and his profession underscore his dedication to service and leadership.
