Perched in the heart of Tangipahoa Parish, Mt. Calvary Free Will Baptist Church calls the enchanting town of Independence, Louisiana home. This tight-knit community is a mosaic of unique personalities, each contributing to its incredible cultural tapestry and a history that unfolds like a captivating narrative. With a population of 1,665 according to the 2010 census, Independence is a place where every corner is steeped in the remarkable tales of its past and the diverse essence of its people.
